5. Praise the Lord!

 

   An elderly lady was known for her faith and her boldness in talking about it. She would stand on her front porch and shout "Praise the Lord!"

Next door to her lived (A) a man who would get angry with her. (B) He would shout,     "There is no God!"

   Hard times set in on the elderly lady and she prayed to God to send her some           assistance. She stood on her front porch and shouted, "Praise the Lord! God, I need food! I am having a hard time. Please, Lord, send me some groceries."

The next morning the lady went out on her porch, and noticed a large bag of groceries. She shouted, "Praise the Lord!" as usual.

   (C) The neighbor appeared from behind a bush and said, "Ha ha... Didn't I tell you      there is no God? I bought those groceries. God didn't."

The lady started jumping up and down, clapping her hands and saying, "Praise the Lord! (D) He not only sent me groceries but He made (E) the devil pay for them. PRAISE THE LORD!"
